Blackmagic Design has announced the availability of the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2. A next generation model of the popular Micro Studio Camera 4K. The new model retains the original model's compact design, but has been upgraded with a 4K digital film sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range and dual native ISO up to 25,600 for incredible low-light performance.
Additionally, the Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 adds 12G-SDI for up to 2160p60 operation and a new USB-C expansion port for Blackmagic RAW recording to external drives and network control via Ethernet adapters.
Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K G2
The Micro Studio Camera 4K G2 is the perfect solution for putting cameras on set when customers don't have room for full size cameras. It includes the popular MFT lens mount, ultra-low-light 4K image sensor and cinematic color rendering. It is small, but has the characteristics of a studio camera with 12G-SDI for HD and Ultra HD operation up to 2160p60.
It is also possible to control the built-in color corrector and lens using the SDI and HDMI connections. It can even record Blackmagic RAW to USB drives. The Blackmagic Micro Studio Camera 4K goes beyond broadcast quality with log gamma, allowing users to create cinematic color-corrected images.
The Micro Studio has all the benefits of a large studio camera in a small, durable body that can be placed anywhere. It features a tough magnesium alloy core in a body not much larger than the lens mount itself.
Users can use high performance MFT lenses or add adapters for emission lenses. In addition, the buttons on the front provide quick access to the settings menu and enable recording.
The stunning 4K sensor combined with 5th generation Blackmagic color science delivers the same imaging technology used in digital film cameras. With 13 stops of dynamic range, the camera has darker blacks and brighter whites, perfect for color correction. The sensor has a resolution of 4096 x 2160, ideal for HD and Ultra HD work. Moreover, it supports from 23.98 fps to 60 fps.
Also parait has many different energy options. It includes a 12V DC power socket so the cable is not accidentally pulled. The camera also supports a standard LP-E6 compatible battery.
Mthey can even use an adapter to connect the camera to V-Lock batteries for real all-day power. This is a great solution when there is no power available where the cameras are mounted.
