Blackmagic Design has released a new version of DaVinci Resolve 16
Resolve 16.3 Beta 2 adds further support for Blackmagic RAW 2.0 on Windows and can be downloaded, as always, for free via the Blackmagic Design Support Center website.
Blackmagic RAW or BRAW is a very popular 12-bit codec – especially among DaVinci Resolve users. It was first introduced during IBC 2018 and Blackmagic Design is constantly updating it.
Although it is not a "pure" compressed RAW format (the de-mosaic process is already partially done in-camera), it offers flexibility in post-production. It is possible to change the white balance, ISO, keep some cropped highlights, and so on.
When Blackmagic Design announced the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K, they also announced the arrival of BRAW 2.0 with some new improvements, including the new Color Science Gen 5. With this release, Blackmagic Design is fundamentally expanding BRAW 2.0 support for Windows and improving stability.
