Blackmagic Design: New Micro Converter 3G. The new series allows customers to use HDMI equipment with professional SDI systems. These new models feature custom hardware developed by Blackmagic Design and include features previously only found in high-end converters. The Micro Converter 3G models include features such as 3D LUTs and more video formats than older models.
Incredibly Tiny
The new Blackmagic Micro Converter 3G models are incredibly tiny video broadcast converters that allow customers to connect between consumer HDMI and professional SDI equipment. Their rugged and miniature design makes them small enough to be used anywhere. Professional 3G‑SDI connections work with all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. The Micro Converters use USB for power, so they can be powered directly from TVs or laptops.

Blackmagic Micro Converters feature the highest quality signal processing and deep bit depth video pipeline. Micro Converters are designed with precision electronics to have very low SDI jitter, allowing SDI cable extensions over long distances. This is vital for live production where equipment such as cameras may be far away from switchers.
Blackmagic Micro Converters 3G work with 8 and 10-bit video formats, in RGB or YUV, and all SD and HD formats up to 1080p60. They support 1080p24, 1080p47.95 and 1080p48. They also have full integrated audio and timecode support.
