This is a high-quality digital cinema camera that produces accurate skin tones and rich colors. Its extremely flexible design offers the possibility to create the ideal camera rig for any production.
Full frame sensor
The new model features a 36 x 24mm 6K full frame sensor with 13 stops of dynamic range, for excellent image quality and flexibility in various shooting conditions. Also, with an ISO that goes up to 25,600, it produces an image with extremely low noise in any lighting condition.
The sensor's resolution is 6048×4032 pixels – three times larger than Super 35 – allowing the creator to film with a shallow depth of field or using anamorphic lenses for a truly cinematic style. This sensor combined with Blackmagic's Color Science (Generation 5) delivers the same image technology as the most expensive digital cinema cameras.
Great Flexibility in Lenses
The Blackmagic PYXIS 6K comes in three different versions, with L-mount, EF and PL mounting points, making it compatible with a very wide variety of lenses, such as the latest Leica full-frame lenses, as well as Panasonic and Sigma lenses. Also, with the appropriate adapter, there is the possibility to use even more lenses, more modern, but also vintage.
The EF model allows the creator to use high quality photographic lenses they already own or lenses from Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cameras. Finally, with the PL model, the creator can use professional cinema lenses from Zeiss, ARRI, Cooke and many more, without the need for an adapter.

Blackmagic PYXIS 6K's innovative side plates offer countless options to create the ideal camera rig for any filmmaker, which can accommodate microphones, brackets, mobile phones for live-streaming, USB-C storage drive and more still accessories.
