Blackmagic Design announced a number of updates and new products at NAB Show 2023. With the introduction of more AI tools in DaVinci Resolve and product enhancements for television, video and broadcast professionals.
DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.5
Blackmagic Design has released DaVinci Resolve 18.5, with over 150 new features and tools. These include 4 new AI tools, support for Universal Scene Description files, and new menus on the Cut page. AI tools include speech to text editing, automatic captioning, audio classification, and relighting.
Users can now export the timeline to Blackmagic Cloud and configure color management at the timeline level. The new Relight OFX allows for the addition of virtual light sources to a scene.
DaVinci Resolve 18.5 public beta is now available for download.
ATEM Television Studio 4K8
The ATEM Television Studio 4K8 is a portable, professional live production switcher with 12G-SDI inputs with eight-standard conversion, 10 x 12G-SDI aux outputs, 4 chroma keyers, 2 downstream keyers, SuperSource, 2 media players and various transitions.
It includes buttons for selecting sources, triggering transitions, and adjusting video effects, along with a built-in T-switch for manual transition control. With 8 SDI inputs, users can connect multiple cameras and all video sources will be re-synchronized with the switcher.
ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K
The ATEM 4 M/E Constellation 4K features 40 x 12G-SDI standard conversion inputs with support for standards up to Ultra HD 2160p60.
The updated model also features 24 x 12G-SDI aux outputs, 16 upstream ATEM advanced color keyers, 4 downstream keyers, 4 Ultra HD media players, 2 SuperSource processors and more. Ideal for concerts, music festivals, live sporting events and religious broadcasts.
2110 IP Converter 3x3G
The Blackmagic 2110 IP Converter 3x3G is a base converter with 3G-SDI to IP broadcast systems 2110. It supports up to 3 separate 3G-SDI video channels simultaneously and includes independent inputs and outputs for connecting up to 6 different SDI devices.
It is SMPTE ST2110 compliant for IP video and includes automatic resynchronization of SDI inputs to a common PTP clock. Users can download the free Blackmagic Converter Utility to remotely manage their equipment.
Three new DeckLink IP cards
DeckLink IP HD, DeckLink IP HD Optical and DeckLink IP/SDI HD. All comply with the SMPTE ST2110 standard for IP video, with support for uncompressed video, motion modulation, timing, audio and ancillary data. Multicast is also available.
DeckLink IP supports all popular video software, including Apple ProRes and DNxHD. PCIe is fast enough to handle multiple channels of HD video with low latency and precise synchronization.
DeckLink IP provides a secure data transfer, as videos are recorded using frame buffers that act as a firewall.
