If you apply a speed change to a cut clip in Final Cut Pro and send it to Color, the clip preview in Color shows an extra frame at the beginning and end. If you then render the Color project to DPX or CIN (Cineon) files, these extra frames will also be rendered to the DPX or CIN files.

Programs
Color 1.5, Final Cut Pro 7.0

Solution

Export any clip cut in Final Cut Pro that contains speed changes to self-contained QuickTime movie files. Edit the resulting files into your sequence to replace the relevant clips, before sending your project to Color.
