Final Cut Studio 2 includes all the installation and content discs required to install Final Cut Pro 6, Color, Motion 3, Soundtrack Pro 2, Compressor 3, DVD Studio Pro 4.2, Apple Qmaster 3, LiveType 2.1, and Cinema Tools 4.

Many of the Final Cut Studio applications include additional content, such as templates, fonts, and audio files, that you can choose to install. In most cases, you can also choose where to put this content, such as a second hard drive or a specific folder.

Note: Content items that you can place in a specific location have a folder icon in the Location column of the Custom Install option. You can select the location to place the content by clicking on that folder.

Important: Avoid selecting the root level of your Mac OS X startup volume as a custom installation location for Final Cut Studio content. If you select the Mac OS X hard disk startup level, unexpected results may occur and content may be installed to default or other locations.

To work around this problem, you can create a new folder on the boot level of your hard drive and then select that folder as the location in the Installer's Custom Install option. Alternatively, you can select the boot level of another hard drive (not the Mac OS X startup disk) as the custom installation location.
