SEAGATE announces the new NAS & NAS PRO series
Many professionals do not know that Seagate in addition to hard drives and SSDS also has a line of NAS products that cover every market segment, including the SMB market.
The new NAS series includes five systems built for environments with up to 50 users and with a wide range of price and storage capacity. The five drives are divided into groups known as Seagate NAS and Seagate NAS Pro.
Characteristic of the most affordable NAS series, two and four bay systems with capacities up to 16TB are based on a Marvell 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, with two USB 3.0 ports and dual Gigabit LAN with OS 4 NAS operating system by Seagate.
The second series, which addresses the higher demands of the SMB market, is known as NAS Pro and coincides with the debut of the latest C2000 dual-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. Each NAS Pro System comes with 2GB RAM, two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 port, dual Gigabit LAN and Seagate's latest NAS OS 4 operating system.
