With a maximum capacity of 96TB and speeds of up to 2600MB/s, the LaCie 12big is the ultimate storage solution for 4K to 6K video editing. It dramatically reduces time for almost all post-production workflows while storing massive amounts of video material on enterprise class drives.

The LaCie 12big Thunderbolt 3 with Thunderbolt 3 technology makes the most of hard drives. With the addition of a Hardware RAID controller and enterprise class disks on 7200 rpm the result is amazing speeds of up to 2600MB/s and 2400MB/s in a RAID 5 configuration.

For lightning-fast video workflows

The speeds of the LaCie 12big dramatically reduce times in the most demanding post production tasks such as ingest RAW material from a Blackmagic Cinema Camera to Adobe Premier or multi-stream processing ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes 444 XQ but also uncompressed HD 10-bit and 12-bit video. Also in large projects with many hi-res clips thumbnails and rendering in preview is much faster

With twice the bandwidth of Thunderbolt 2, Thunderbolt 3 allows you to connect in series of two 4K screens or a 5K monitor at 12big. With two 4K displays, you can spread out your workspace by dedicating one screen to the timeline and the second to previewing 4K video, plus the Thunderbolt 3 port can provide electric power feed  on a compatible laptop.

Scalability

Thunderbolt 3 technology allows connection up to six devices to the computer via a single cable so you can connect up to six 12big by reaching them 576TB total capacity!
