Lacie Porsche Design USB-C for the new MacBook

Lacie has announced the addition of USB-C technology to its successful Porsche Design line of hard drives, the Lacie Porsche Design USB-C for the new MacBook. The new drives combine the convenience of the new USB-C connection with the advantages of the speed, design and durability of the Lacie Porsche Design Mobile Drive series, an ideal peripheral for Apple's new MacBook line with the new USB-C technology.

The Lacie Porsche Design Mobile Drive with USB-C port is easy to connect since both ends of the cable are identical and symmetrical. This means it can be connected to MacBooks in all ways without the possibility of error or damage to the ports or cable.

USB C technology with speeds of up to 100MB/s allows for the fastest exchange of data, files, photos, etc. between devices and also fast back up. The Porsche series drives have a 3mm thick solid aluminum chassis with high durability and portability. They are designed to match the finish and color of the Apple MacBook series. In addition, they are fully compatible with Apple Time Machine for easy back up. They also have a special adapter cable for connection to USB 3.0 (Type–A) and USB 2.0 ports for connection to any compatible Mac or PC computer.

Lacie has been working closely with Porsche Design since 2003 to create exceptional products with seamless functionality, distinctive design, and durability for tough use, such as the Lacie Porsche Design USB-C series for the new MacBook.
