Blackmagic Design announces 2 new control panels for DaVinci Resolve
Professional video editing with DaVinci Resolve has become extremely popular. That’s why the new Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Mini and Micro Panels, two new control panels for DaVinci Resolve, were designed to allow color correction workflows to blend with editing workflows.
The new DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel and DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel are professional control surfaces featuring 3 premium, high-resolution weighted trackballs, precision mechanical control buttons, illuminated keys and more.
In professional video editing, there are three workflows that require support. The first, for professionals working exclusively in color correction suites, is superbly supported by the large DaVinci Resolve Advanced Panel. The second is for editing systems that switch between editing and color, and the third is for professionals who need to edit and color simultaneously. The development and design team of Blackmagic Design was inclined to resolve the last two issues concerning editing, as well as the issue of quality.
High quality, small size
No one wants a “cheap” low-quality control panel because they work on it for hours every day. While there are cheap panels on the market, what customers need is an extremely high-quality panel that is smaller in size and can handle their demands. Smaller panels are also easy to transport and allow freelancers to have their own panel as they move between systems and jobs at different companies. DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel
The smaller DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel is not much larger than a computer keyboard and is powered by the USB connection. It is ideal for placement next to the computer keyboard so the operator can easily move between the keyboard and the panel, allowing simultaneous grading and color correction.
DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel
The larger DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel includes the same powerful features, but adds LCD screens with dozens of menus that allow quick access to most of DaVinci Resolve’s advanced color grading features. This makes the panel more suitable for workstations where there is a need to switch between editing and color correction, but is still portable enough to easily move between workstations around a facility.
Both the DaVinci Resolve Micro Panel and DaVinci Resolve Mini Panel provide direct, hands-on control that allows colorists to be more creative because they can adjust multiple parameters simultaneously, which is impossible with a simple mouse and keyboard.
