Lacie Unveils the Future with Pioneering New Line of Porsche Design Mobile and Desktop Drives

Robust form and refined function, with huge capacity in a small size

Lacie is the first company to introduce a line of external hard drives with support for next-generation USB Type-C (USB-C) connectivity Apple MacBook.

With technology USB-C For easy connection to computers that have the appropriate port and high transfer speeds, taking backups and transferring files by drag and drop becomes a game.

The new drives also support computers with old USB ports (Type-A USB 2.0/3.0), via an adapter cable that has a USB-C connector on one end and a USB Type-A connector on the other. The drives are made of solid aluminum, thin, elegant and durable, based on the minimalist inspiration of Porsche Design designers.

The new LaCie Mobile Drives will be available in capacities of 1, 2 and 4TB while LaCie Desktop Drives in capacities of 4, 5 and 8TB respectively.

Another innovation from Lacie concerns the new Desktop Drives which, through the  USB-C cable They charge your laptop's battery while you're using them.

Available in the first quarter of 2016.
