Digital Transformation of SMEs
The program "Digital Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises" which has be pre-published it essentially marks the beginning of the new NSRF 2021-2027.
With the aim of integrating digital technologies in Greek businesses, the new program is divided into Three Actions total budget of 300 million Euros.
Action 1: Basic Digital Transformation of SMEs
It is aimed at medium, small and very small businesses that have not yet adopted important information and telecommunications (ICT) technologies and aim to cover deficiencies in basic equipment and similar applications.
The enhanced funding budget is defined by €18,000 up to €30,000.
The maximum completion time is 9 months from the date of approval.
The main categories of expenses covered concern:
- Equipment costs
- Software costs
- Expenses for providing digital upgrade services
Action 2: Advanced Digital Transformation of SMEs
It is aimed at medium, small and very small businesses with the aim of expanding their digital and technological environment, so that by investing in new ICT they can optimize their competitiveness and improve their production process.
The enhanced budget of the funding application is defined by €50,000 to €650,000.
The maximum completion time is 15 months from the date of accession.
The investment plans to be submitted should have the character initial investment and meet one of the following criteria:
- Creation of a new business establishment
- Expansion of the capacity of an existing unit
- Diversification of a unit's output into products or services that have never been produced in it
- Fundamental change of the entire production process of an existing unit
The main categories of expenses covered are:
- Equipment for the supply of advanced plant or personnel operation systems, production automation with robotic systems, upgrading of internal data transfer networks, supply of advanced technological systems and mechanical equipment, etc.
- Applications/software, for provision of modern applications of business resource & process management, customer and supply chain management, artificial intelligence tools, production optimization, upgrading of services provided, digital facility control, etc.
- Services related to the digital upgrade
Action 3: Digital Transformation of Leading SMEs
It concerns medium-sized, small and micro-enterprises that have already integrated ICT in their operations and seek to implement investments in cutting-edge technologies or 4th industrial revolution solutions.
The enhanced budget of the funding application is defined by €200,001 to €1,200,000.
The maximum completion time is 18 months from the date of accession.
The investment plans to be submitted should have the character initial investment and meet one of the following criteria:
- Creation of a new business establishment
- Expansion of the capacity of an existing unit
- Diversification of a unit's output into products or services that have never been produced in it
- Fundamental change of the entire production process of an existing unit
The main categories of expenses covered are:
- Equipment for the supply of digitally controlled E/M equipment, advanced systems for remote operation of facilities, automation of the various stages of the chain with robotic systems, upgrading of internal data transfer networks, digital technological systems, etc.
- Applications/Software. To supply applications of increased intelligence of administrative and financial planning, digital security, customer and supply chain management, data analysis with artificial intelligence tools, production optimization, upgrading of services provided, blockchain, etc.
- Services related to the digital upgrade for consulting and technical support with the aim of parameterizing and integrating the new systems into the operation of SMEs, system certification, etc.
The evaluation of applications it will be immediate and the investment plans will be evaluated in the order they are submitted, until the budget of the action per category of region is exhausted.
The subsidy rate is up to 50% while in some areas of the country it also reaches 60%.
