WACOM announces the arrival of the new Wacom MobileStudio Pro
How would you like to be able to “run” Adobe Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC on a large high-resolution screen where you can use the latest Wacom pen technology. Wacom MobileStudio Pro is the ideal solution for you!! The new, mobile, lightweight, pen-equipped computers will be available from November, in two sizes, one with a 13.3-inch screen and one with a 15.6-inch screen. Ed Neumann, Senior Vice President of Wacom Creative Branded Business says, "Unlike most general purpose tablets designed for the consumer market, Wacom's MobileStudio Pro was designed specifically for the needs of professionals." The Wacom MobileStudio Pro series is ideal for creative professionals who use pen tablets for digital drawing and design.
The tablets will be available in a wide variety of configurations, but all run Windows 10 and use the new Wacom Pro Pen 2. As for the Pro Pen 2, it offers a host of performance improvements over Wacom's previous pens. It is four times more pressure sensitive and accurate than the original Pro Pen, offers natural tilt support, no lag, no parallax, and requires no batteries or recharging.
There are four MobileStudio Pro 13 models and two MobileStudio Pro 16 models.
In the 13.3-inch models, two use Intel i5 processors, while the other two are equipped with i7 processors. All four models come with Intel Iris 550 (GPUs) and have a WQHD (2560 x 1440) display resolution that offers a brightness of 150cd/m2 and can display 96% of the Adobe RGB color gamut. They include UHS-II Micro SD slots and three USB-C ports.
In the 15.6-inch models, one comes with an i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD and NVIDIA Quadro M600M GPU with 2GB of VRAM and the second with an i7 processor, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD and NVidia M1000M GPU with 4GB of VRAM. All the 13- and 15-inch models have a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and an 8-megapixel rear camera, but the 15.6-inch also has an Intel RealSense R200 3D scanning camera, which lets you scan real objects in 3D modeling software.
The new Wacom MobileStudio Pro series will also be accompanied by a variety of accessories, such as a wireless keyboard and a mobile stand that allows switching between three different drawing angles. Also when you connect it to a compatible MAC or PC you can use it like a simple Cintiq tablet.
